Mobile Task Overview
In this article, you will learn about the task and/or order view in your Driver Mobile App.
This article will cover:
Task ID & Order ID
When an organization creates a task at Onfleet, Onfleet creates a unique ID for each task. The task id allows the Driver and Dispatcher to communicate about the task.
Notes:
- Orders will not be imported via Courier Imports. They will be imported from RACPad to the DS system and automatically appear in the Driver App accordingly.
Task Type
Notes:
- All stops in the Driver App will be identified as a Task Type: “Drop-off,” regardless of if it is a Service, Pickup, or etc. stop.
All tasks should be completed in the order they appear in the Driver App. Linked tasks are a set of tasks with a specified order that should be completed by a single driver, sequentially. If you are trying to start a task out of its sequential order, you will be notified of the number of prerequisites required to be completed before the task and provided an action to navigate to the prerequisite task.
Recipient Name & Location
Tasks will sometimes have a recipient name and always have a location.
A recipient is an organization’s customer and a target for a task, that is, for whom the task is being fulfilled.
Note : Tasks can have notes, these are notes your organization places for the recipient or location to note any specific requests or instructions.
You may also be required to add any completion notes to your task before you can complete a task.
Custom Fields
Your organization can add custom fields to tasks to provide additional information regarding a task, recipient, or additional instructions.
